PTI’s claim on ISPR’s Kashmir Stance Exposed as False

Claim: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (@PTIofficial) shared a screenshot of the @ISPR_Official song “Dushmana Sun” on their social media accounts, claiming that ISPR referred to Indian-Occupied Kashmir as ‘Indian Administered Kashmir’. @PTIofficial further questioned, “Will the @OfficialDGISPR be removed for this ‘incompetence’, and is this the new Kashmir policy of the government and the establishment?”

Reality: According to the Fake News Watchdog Team’s investigation, the phrase “Indian Administered Kashmir” seen in the screenshot was not written by @ISPR_Official. Instead it is a part of an old news clip from Al Jazeera (@AJEnglish). The Al Jazeera logo is clearly visible in the video, proving that these words were used in Al Jazeera’s reporting, not by @ISPR_Official. The clip shows news about the ‘Pakistan-India Dispute’ with a reference to Pakistan shooting down two Indian planes.

Al Jazeera (@AJEnglish) is an independent international news channel that used this terminology in its reporting based on global narratives at the time. @ISPR_Official included this clip in their video as a credible reference to show historical context. This does not indicate a shift in Pakistan’s stance or an intentional adoption of the term. However, Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir remains clear and firm, supporting Kashmiri self-determination and rejecting India’s illegal occupation.

Conclusion: It’s evident that PTI presented the clip out of context and attempted to spread baseless propaganda. Whereas, in reality,@ISPR_Official‘s stance has always been the same as Pakistan’s official stance, referring to the region as ‘Indian Occupied Kashmir’. @PTIofficial‘s claim was made with political motives to create misconceptions among the public. The public should not believe any political claims without research and should gather information from credible sources. #Fakenews#PTI#ISPR#Kashmir
