Propoganda Exposed: No Truth to Imran Khan’s Acquittal in Judge Threat Case

Claim: Reports claiming that “@imrankhan.pti has been acquitted in the female judge threat case due to lack of evidence are circulating on social media.” Some Twitter (X) accounts further assert that “@imrankhan.pti had apologized to the judge three years ago and his recent acquittal proves that the charges were false.”

These claims have triggered widespread debate online. @ptiofficial supporters hailed it as proof of @imrankhan.pti’s innocence, while opponents dismissed it as mere political propaganda.

Fact: According to the Fake News Watch Dog’s investigation team, these claims are false and baseless. The fact is that no court verdict has been issued regarding @imrankhan.pti’s acquittal in the female judge threat case. The case is still under trial and its last hearing took place on February 12, 2025, in the court of Civil Judge & Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Murid Abbas.

During the February 12 hearing, the court sent a reference to the High Court, requesting that @imrankhan.pti‘s trial be conducted in Adiala Jail. The court also clarified that until a response is received from the High Court, the case cannot proceed further. On this basis, the judge adjourned the case indefinitely. Furthermore, as per court records, @imrankhan.pti never formally apologized to the female judge; he only provided a clarification in court.

Conclusion: It is evident that the claims regarding @imrankhan.pti’s acquittal in the female judge threat case are false and misleading. The case remains under trial, and its next proceedings depend on the High Court’s response. Therefore, the public is advised not to believe unverified news circulating on social media and to rely only on official court decisions or credible sources to avoid misinformation and propaganda.
